Whoa, hey, look at that. Actual photography from me again! :faint:

I always underestimate winter in terms of photo ops. I rarely go out in winter and so rarely have a chance to take pictures. And this year, we had all of one day of snow and it was only about an inch of snow so I couldn't even do snow photography.

Well, I finally got the chance to take some pictures for my birthday when my wife and I went to the zoo.

So here you have a prairie dog, preparing for winter. :XD:

He was quite adorable. He was grabbing food and straw out of their food bowls and bringing it to a burrow to shove it down underground. Even though the other prairie dogs weren't really supporting him, he never stopped. He was quite cute.

It took a few tries to even get this picture of him. I really wanted this sideways shot to show just how much he was shoving in his mouth. Honestly, there's a better pic of him facing forward but it's just not as cute/silly, in my mind.

There are a lot of problems with this picture. Because he was trotting, I had more of a blur than I originally noticed. I tried to correct it as much as I could in editing but it's hard to really edit out blur.

I did go more in-depth with this editing than I normally do. I cropped it, obviously, and as I said before, I tried to correct the blur. I played around with saturation and temperature before settling on this version. The end version is quite different than the original but I'm kind of proud of this editing.

Let me know what you think, please! :) I'd love to have critiques on the editing especially. :)

Ha! Wow, that's a mouthful.

I think you got rid of any blur well, and it looks sharp and clear. It's a little harshly bright on my screen, but all in all I think it's a great shot. C=
